What kind of wine is Spumante Metodo Classico Rosé 'Farfalla Rosé' - Ballabio
The Spumante Metodo Classico Rosé 'Farfalla Rosé' - Ballabio is an elegant Lombard sparkling wine produced according to the Classic Method, the same used for Champagne. This method involves a second fermentation in the bottle, which gives the wine a fine and persistent perlage. The Ballabio company, a historic name in the Oltrepò Pavese, is recognized as one of the pioneers of sparkling wine production in Italy, capable of combining tradition with modern style. The result is a refined rosé, of great balance, perfect for those seeking freshness, delicacy, and character.Vintage details
Each vintage of Spumante Metodo Classico Rosé 'Farfalla Rosé' - Ballabio comes from a careful harvest, carried out in the early hours of the morning to preserve the integrity of the aromas. The Pinot Nero grapes are picked in optimal conditions, when the climate alternates between warm days and cool summer nights: a contrast that favors excellent aromatic maturation and pleasant natural acidity.Vinification and aging
Production follows the canons of the Classic Method, which involves re-fermentation in the bottle. After a light pressing of the grapes to obtain the characteristic rosé color, the base wine is bottled with the addition of selected yeasts. The wine ages on its lees for about 24 months, during which time the sparkling wine develops elegance and complexity. This is followed by the remuage phase (rotation of the bottles to allow the lees to settle in the neck) and dégorgement (disgorgement), before the final dosage which perfectly balances freshness and structure.Tasting Notes
