What wine is Etna Rosso DOC 'Alta Mora - Feudo di Mezzo' 2019 - Cusumano
The Etna Rosso DOC “Alta Mora - Feudo di Mezzo” 2019 - Cusumano is made from 100% Nerello Mascalese grapes grown on the northern slopes of Etna, at an altitude of approximately 650 meters. This area, with its volcanic soil and cool climate, gives the vines an extraordinary ability to express minerality and aromatic complexity. The result is an elegant wine with a strong personality and a balanced body, capable of conveying the authentic soul of the Etna region in a glass.Vintage Details
The 2019 vintage is considered one of the best for this denomination. The balanced spring and mild summer allowed for slow and harmonious grape ripening, preserving excellent freshness and clear aromas. The harvest, carried out manually between late September and early October, yielded healthy and perfectly ripe clusters, ideal for creating a wine of great precision and finesse.Winemaking and Aging
After harvesting, the grapes are destemmed and subjected to traditional fermentation in steel tanks with skin maceration for about 15 days, useful for extracting color and soft tannins. Aging continues for about 8 months in oak barrels, followed by further rest in the bottle, during which the wine refines its aromatic profile and rounds out its structure.Tasting Notes
