What kind of wine is Franciacorta Saten Docg Magnum I Cà de Pazzi (wooden box)

The Franciacorta Saten Docg Magnum I Cà de Pazzi (wooden box) is a sparkling wine made using the Classic method, the same one used for producing Champagne. It originates in the heart of Franciacorta, Lombardy, an area famous for its morainic hills and its natural aptitude for excellent sparkling wine production. Made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes, it interprets the most refined and creamy style of Franciacorta in a Satèn version, characterized by lower pressure in the bottle and a particularly fine and silky bead.

Vintage details

The harvest typically takes place between late August and early September, when the grapes reach the perfect balance between acidity and aromatic maturity. The climatic conditions of the vintage favor the production of healthy grapes, rich in aromas and with excellent natural freshness, elements that are found intact in the glass.

Winemaking and aging

The Franciacorta Saten Docg Magnum I Cà de Pazzi is made from a careful selection of Chardonnay grapes, vinified in steel to preserve their aromatic purity. After the first fermentation, the base wine is bottled with the addition of yeasts for the second fermentation, which takes place in the bottle according to the Classic method. Aging on the lees continues for at least 24 months, during which the wine develops complexity, elegance, and the characteristic creaminess of the best Satèns.

Tasting notes

The Franciacorta Saten Docg Magnum I Cà de Pazzi (wooden box) impresses with its balance and elegance, with immediate freshness and an extremely fine bead that enhances its aromaticity.

Color

Visually, it presents a bright straw yellow with slight golden reflections. The perlage is fine and continuous, a sign of long maturation and excellent work on the lees.

Nose

The bouquet is delicate and complex: notes of white flowers, fresh fruit, and ripe citrus emerge, accompanied by hints of hazelnut and bread crust, typical of long aging on the lees. The elegant and harmonious aroma immediately invites tasting.

Palate

On the palate, it is soft and velvety, with a balanced freshness that gives momentum to the structure. The pleasant acidity supports its drinkability, while the fruity notes and creaminess complete a persistent and harmonious finish. A Franciacorta Satèn where finesse and drinkability meet in perfect balance.

Storage and aging: how to store Franciacorta Saten Docg Magnum I Cà de Pazzi (wooden box) wine

To maintain the freshness and complexity of the Franciacorta Saten Docg Magnum I Cà de Pazzi, it is advisable to store it in a cool place, away from light and at a constant temperature of around 12°C. The bottle should preferably be kept horizontally to keep the cork moist and ensure proper sealing.
