What kind of wine is Franciacorta DOCG '61 Satèn Magnum - Berlucchi?
The Franciacorta DOCG '61 Satèn Magnum - Berlucchi is a Metodo Classico sparkling wine – the same method used for Champagne – produced in the heart of Franciacorta, in Lombardy. The DOCG designation attests to the quality and rigorous production that characterize this prestigious area. The “Satèn” style is a typical Franciacorta type: only white grapes (primarily Chardonnay) and a bottle pressure below 5 bar, to obtain a softer, silkier mousse, as the name itself suggests. The elegance and fineness of its perlage make it one of Berlucchi's most refined Franciacorta wines.Vintage Details

The harvest, carried out by hand, ensures the perfect ripening of the bunches and their integrity, thus guaranteeing clean aromas and an elegant sensory profile.Winemaking and Aging
This sparkling wine is born from the Metodo Classico, a process in which the second fermentation occurs in the bottle, followed by long aging on the lees. After soft pressing of the grapes, the must ferments in steel at controlled temperatures. A portion of the base wines may mature in oak barrels to add aromatic complexity. The re-fermentation in the bottle lasts at least 24 months, allowing the wine to acquire the creaminess and fine bubbles that distinguish the Satèn style.Tasting Notes
