What wine is Champagne Brut Nature Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru 'Exp. 19' - Agrapart & Fils
The Champagne Brut Nature Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru 'Exp. 19' - Agrapart & Fils is born in the heart of the Côte des Blancs, one of the most renowned areas of French Champagne, famous for the exceptional quality of its Chardonnay. The Agrapart & Fils house, located in Avize, has always been synonymous with authenticity and respect for tradition: each cuvée is the result of artisanal work that focuses on the vineyard and its natural balance. This Champagne is entirely produced from Chardonnay grapes from Grand Cru vineyards and follows the Champenoise method, i.e., secondary fermentation in the bottle, which gives the wine its fine and persistent bubbles.Vintage Details
The Exp. 19 is the result of a vintage with a complex and fascinating profile, in which the house was able to best express the freshness and precision typical of Avize Chardonnay. The grapes were harvested at full ripeness, in a balanced vintage between sunny days and cool nights, an ideal condition for preserving natural acidity and fruit purity.Winemaking and Aging
This Champagne originates from a visionary idea of Pascal Agrapart, who in 2002 obtained permission to use natural must from his vineyards as liqueur de tirage, the mixture that triggers the second fermentation in the bottle. After years of experimentation, the result is a unique Champagne, with no added sugars (Brut Nature), which rests for a long time on its lees to develop depth and aromatic complexity. The long aging offers very fine perlage and an elegant structure, emblematic characteristics of the house.Tasting Notes
Color
In the glass, it presents a luminous golden color, traversed by fine and continuous bubbles, a sign of long maturation on the lees.Nose
On the nose, it reveals refined aromas of ripe citrus, white flowers, and fresh almond, with mineral nuances that recall the typical chalkiness of Avize soils. As it evolves in the glass, notes of bread crust and hazelnut emerge, indicating long and natural aging.Palate
On the palate, it is pure, vibrant, and vertical. The absence of dosage enhances the precision of the Chardonnay, offering a sensation of freshness and a savory persistence that invites a second sip. The finish is elegant and clean, with a finely mineral touch.Food Pairings for Champagne Brut Nature Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru 'Exp. 19' - Agrapart & Fils
