What kind of wine is Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 2019 - Tenuta Buon Tempo?
The Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 2019 - Tenuta Buon Tempo is a red wine of great personality, produced with 100% Sangiovese grapes grown in vineyards located in the southern area of Montalcino, near Castelnuovo dell’Abate. This Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita represents one of the highest symbols of Tuscan oenology, capable of combining structure, elegance, and longevity. The body is full and enveloping, yet always balanced thanks to fine tannins and a beautiful freshness that make every sip harmonious and persistent.Vintage details
The 2019 vintage in Montalcino was characterized by balanced weather conditions, with a mild spring and a dry but not excessively hot summer. This favored optimal grape ripening, preserving intense aromas and soft tannins. The harvest, performed manually between late September and early October, allowed for the selection of only the best bunches, giving the wine great aromatic concentration and distinct elegance.Winemaking and aging
After harvesting, the grapes are fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve the aromatic components of the Sangiovese. This is followed by a period of maceration on the skins – the contact between the solid and liquid parts of the must – which allows for the extraction of color and natural tannins. Aging then takes place for about three years in large oak barrels and tonneaux, followed by a period in the bottle that completes the maturation process, making the wine harmonious and complex.Tasting notes
