Barbera d'Alba DOC 'Pian Romualdo' 2022 - Prunotto is an authentic expression of the Langhe territory, an area that produces wines of great personality and aromatic depth. Made from 100% Barbera grapes grown in the Pian Romualdo cru, in the municipality of Monforte d’Alba, this wine tells the story of a versatile and generous grape variety capable of combining freshness, intensity, and pleasantness. Medium to full-bodied, balanced, and elegant, it is a red wine that unites tradition and modernity, ideal for those who want to discover Barbera in its finest and most contemporary version.Vintage details
The 2022 vintage was characterized by balanced climatic conditions in the Langhe, with warm days and cool nights that favored optimal grape ripening. The result is a wine with great harmony, full and lively fruit, supported by a freshness that makes every sip dynamic and pleasant. The harvest took place at full fruit maturity, preserving the typical acidity that distinguishes Barbera d’Alba.Vinification and aging
The vinification of Barbera d'Alba DOC 'Pian Romualdo' 2022 - Prunotto takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, to fully preserve the fruity aromas of the grape. Maceration on the skins lasts about 7-8 days, allowing for a balanced extraction of color and tannins. After fermentation, the wine ages for 12 months in large 77-hectolitre oak barrels, where it matures, developing softness and complexity. This is followed by a further resting period in the bottle of about one year, which perfects the bouquet and rounds out the taste profile.Tasting notes
