What wine is Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Rive Di Guia Brut Millesimato “Rebùs” DOCG 2023 - Guia

The Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Rive Di Guia Brut Millesimato “Rebùs” DOCG 2023 - Guia is a sparkling wine of great elegance, produced exclusively from Glera grapes sourced from the renowned Rive di Guia, one of the most acclaimed areas in the Valdobbiadene region. The sparkling process occurs using the Charmat method, which involves a second fermentation in an autoclave, preserving the wine's freshness and aromatic immediacy while maintaining its lively effervescence. It is a Brut style, meaning it has a low sugar content, designed to highlight the refined minerality of the territory and offer a dry yet harmonious drink.

Vintage details

The 2023 vintage was characterized by balanced weather, with a warm but not scorching summer and regular rainfall that favored homogeneous grape ripening. The harvest, performed manually towards the end of September, allowed for the selection of only the healthiest and most fragrant clusters, ensuring excellent must quality and an ideal base for a sparkling wine with a precise and fragrant profile.

Winemaking and aging

After gentle pressing of the grapes, the must undergoes fermentation at controlled temperatures to preserve the primary aromas of the grape. The subsequent secondary fermentation (prise de mousse) takes place in an autoclave, according to the Charmat method, with a refermentation period of about 60 days. This process gives the wine a fine and persistent perlage. Aging on fine lees, before bottling, enriches the structure and allows for the development of more complex notes, while maintaining the natural freshness of Prosecco Superiore.

Tasting notes

Color

In the glass, it presents a pale straw yellow color with greenish reflections and a fine and continuous perlage, a distinguishing sign of its quality and careful sparkling process.

Nose

On the nose, it releases a delicate yet intense bouquet, where scents of white flowers, green apple, and citrus hints can be recognized. The aromatic profile is fresh and pleasantly fruity, with mineral nuances that recall the typicality of the Rive di Guia.

Palate

On the palate, it is lively and harmonious. The mousse is creamy and well-integrated, and the fresh acidity supports a balanced and savory sip. The finish is clean, with a pleasant note of apple and wildflowers that invites a second glass.
