What wine is Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Rive Di Guia Extra Dry Millesimato DOCG “L'Aurì” 2023 - Guia
Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Rive Di Guia Extra Dry Millesimato DOCG “L'Aurì” 2023 - Guia is a fine sparkling wine, made from 100% Glera grapes sourced from the steep hills of Rive di Guia, in the heart of the Valdobbiadene DOCG area. This region is renowned for its ideal exposure and the aromatic finesse it imparts to the wines. The secondary fermentation (spumantization) occurs using the Charmat method (or Martinotti method), a technique involving fermentation in an autoclave, perfect for enhancing the freshness, intensity, and vivacity of Glera's typical aromas. The Extra Dry style perfectly balances softness and acidity, making this vintage wine extremely pleasant and harmonious.Vintage Details
The 2023 vintage was characterized by regular climatic conditions, with a dry summer and cool nights that favored a slow and complete ripening of the grapes. The harvest, manual and selective, took place between late September and early October, ensuring healthy bunches rich in aromas.Winemaking and Aging
After gentle pressing of the grapes, the must undergoes fermentation in steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The secondary fermentation follows the Charmat method, with a second fermentation in an autoclave lasting about 30-40 days, thus achieving fine and persistent bubbles. Aging for a few months on the lees allows for the development of greater aromatic complexity and a creamy, velvety taste sensation.Tasting Notes
