What kind of wine is Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG Extra Dry “Giustino B.” 2023 Magnum - Ruggeri (wooden box)?
The Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG Extra Dry “Giustino B.” 2023 Magnum - Ruggeri is a sparkling wine of extraordinary finesse made with Glera grapes from the hills of Valdobbiadene, in the heart of the most prestigious Prosecco appellation. It is produced using the long Charmat method (or Martinotti), which best preserves the fresh and fruity aromas typical of the grape variety. This Magnum version encapsulates the most authentic soul of the Ruggeri winery: elegance, precision, and great drinkability, enhanced by a presentation in a wooden box, also ideal as a gift.Vintage Details
The 2023 harvest was characterized by a steady trend with mild temperatures and good temperature excursions between day and night. This allowed the Glera grapes to ripen evenly, maintaining excellent aromatic freshness and pleasant natural acidity. The result is a balanced, harmonious Extra Dry, rich in fruity and floral nuances.Winemaking and Aging
After careful selection of the best bunches, the grapes undergo soft pressing. The obtained must ferments at a controlled temperature, preserving the varietal characteristics of the Glera. In spring, the prise de mousse (secondary fermentation typical of the Charmat method) takes place in autoclaves for a prolonged period of about 90 days, in order to obtain a fine and persistent effervescence. After aging at low temperatures, the wine is bottled in early summer to preserve its freshness.Tasting Notes
