What kind of wine is Prosecco Treviso DOC Brut Magnum - Cà di Rajo (cased)

Prosecco Treviso DOC Brut Magnum - Cà di Rajo (cased) is an elegant and versatile Venetian sparkling wine, produced exclusively from Glera grapes cultivated in the fertile lands of the province of Treviso, characterized by soils rich in clay and sand which impart intense aromas and a distinct freshness. Made with the Charmat Method (or Martinotti), the wine undergoes a second fermentation in an autoclave: an ideal process to enhance the fragrance and aromatic vibrancy typical of the varietal. The Brut style, meaning a low residual sugar content, gives the wine a pleasant dryness and enhances its drinkability, making it perfect for any occasion, from aperitifs to more refined dishes.

Vintage Details

The harvest generally takes place at the end of August or in the first days of September, in order to preserve the aromatic integrity and acidity of the Glera grape. The typical climatic conditions of the Treviso area, with warm days and cool nights, favor a balanced ripening of the grapes, guaranteeing a harmonious and lively wine.

Winemaking and Aging

After careful manual harvesting, the grapes are softly pressed to extract only the free-run must, the purest and most fragrant part. The first fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature, while the second fermentation – the sparkling phase of the Charmat Method – occurs in an autoclave for about 60 days. This process allows for a fine and persistent perlage and preserves the fresh and fruity aromas characteristic of the varietal. The wine does not undergo long aging: it is designed to best express its freshness immediately.

Tasting Notes

Color

In the glass, it presents a brilliant straw yellow, with greenish reflections and a fine and continuous perlage that gives visual vibrancy and invites tasting.

Nose

On the nose, it releases a fragrant and pleasantly fruity bouquet, with hints of green apple, pear, and light citrus nuances. Floral notes of acacia and wisteria also emerge, completing a fresh and inviting olfactory profile.

Taste

On the palate, it is fresh, dry, and harmonious. The delicate effervescence accompanies a balanced sip where acidity and aromaticity intertwine pleasantly. The finish is clean, with a persistent sensation of white-fleshed fruit.
