What wine is Moscato d'Asti DOCG 'La Caliera' 2024 - Borgo Maragliano
Moscato d'Asti DOCG 'La Caliera' 2024 - Borgo Maragliano is produced in the hills of Langa Astigiana, one of Piedmont's most renowned areas for Moscato production. This sweet and naturally sparkling wine is made 100% from Moscato Bianco grapes, grown on sunny slopes at an altitude of approximately 360 meters. The style of this Moscato d'Asti is classic for the appellation: fresh, aromatic, and mineral, with a delicate effervescence that enhances its floral and fruity character.Vintage Details
The 2024 vintage was characterized by regular weather patterns, with a mild and sunny spring followed by a balanced, not excessively hot summer. The diurnal temperature variations favored the aromatic concentration of Moscato Bianco, resulting in a wine of great fragrance and lively acidity, perfectly balanced between sweetness and freshness.Vinification and Aging
The grapes are harvested manually to best preserve the integrity of the bunches. After a brief cold maceration, part of the must is fermented in an autoclave (hermetically sealed stainless steel tanks) using the traditional Martinotti method, which allows for the development of a soft and persistent mousse. The wine does not undergo wood aging but remains in stainless steel until bottling, thus maintaining the purity and aromatic freshness of the Moscato.Tasting Notes
