What kind of wine is Langhe Nebbiolo DOC “Funsu” 2023 - Cascina Ca' Rossa
Langhe Nebbiolo DOC “Funsu” 2023 - Cascina Ca' Rossa is a Piedmontese red with an authentic and genuine character. It is born in the heart of Roero, an area of ancient winemaking tradition, from Nebbiolo grapes cultivated according to certified organic farming practices. The Langhe DOC designation guarantees the origin and quality of a wine that combines pleasantness and elegance, offering a harmonious body and an agile drinkability, ideal for those who wish to approach the world of great Piedmontese reds.Vintage details
The 2023 vintage was characterized by a balanced climate, with a sunny but not excessively hot summer and good temperature variations between day and night. These conditions allowed for a gradual ripening of the grapes, favoring the expression of fresh aromas and silky tannins. The harvest, carried out manually in early October, allowed for careful selection of the best bunches, preserving the integrity of the grape until it reached the cellar.Winemaking and aging
After harvesting, the grapes are destemmed and sent for fermentation in stainless steel tanks, where maceration on the skins also takes place for about 10-12 days, in order to extract color and aromas. After fermentation, the wine remains in steel for several months, a refinement that enhances its fruity fragrance and freshness. No wood aging, to best preserve the purity of the Nebbiolo varietal.Tasting notes
