What kind of wine is Langhe Nebbiolo DOC 2024 - La Spinetta
The Langhe Nebbiolo DOC 2024 - La Spinetta is the authentic expression of the Nebbiolo grape, one of Piedmont's iconic wines, carefully cultivated in the Neive area, in the heart of the Langhe. This red wine is made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes, selected and hand-harvested to ensure the highest quality. The result is a medium-bodied wine, elegant and refined, capable of combining the typical structure of Nebbiolo with surprising drinkability. It is the ideal choice for those who want to approach great Piedmontese reds with an honest label, true to its terroir and perfectly balanced between tradition and modernity.Vintage details
The 2024 vintage is characterized by balanced weather conditions, with a warm but not excessive summer and a cool September that allowed perfectly ripe grapes to be brought to the winery. This balance has given the Langhe Nebbiolo DOC 2024 - La Spinetta clear aromas, soft tannins, and excellent freshness. The manual harvest, carried out in early October, allowed only the best bunches to be selected, maintaining the aromatic integrity of the Nebbiolo.Winemaking and aging
The production of this wine follows an artisanal approach that respects the raw material. The grapes undergo alcoholic fermentation in steel tanks at controlled temperatures, followed by approximately two weeks of maceration on the skins, a phase that allows for natural extraction of color and tannins. Subsequently, the wine ages for 12 months in second and third-passage French oak barrels, to soften the tannins and develop complexity without masking the fruit's freshness. The refinement concludes with an additional 6 months in the bottle, ensuring balance and harmony before release.Tasting notes
The Langhe Nebbiolo DOC 2024 - La Spinetta stands out for its finesse, balance, and a personality that immediately speaks of its terroir.Color
Visually, it presents a clear ruby red with faint garnet reflections towards the rim, a distinctive sign of young Nebbiolo already evolving.Nose
The bouquet is intense and complex: aromas of cherry, raspberry, and dried rose emerge, followed by light spicy notes and a hint of licorice. The overall impression is elegant, with an aromatic clarity that invites tasting.Palate
On the palate, it is harmonious and dynamic. The tannins, typical of Nebbiolo, are present but silky, well integrated into a fine and persistent structure. The good acidity balances the softness and makes the sip fresh and pleasant. The finish is long, with hints of red fruits and sweet spices.Food pairings for Langhe Nebbiolo DOC 2024 - La Spinetta

Storage and aging: how to store Langhe Nebbiolo DOC 2024 - La Spinetta wine
To best preserve its qualities, the Langhe Nebbiolo DOC 2024 - La Spinetta should be stored in a cool place, with a stable temperature around 14-16°C, away from direct light and vibrations. The bottle should be laid on its side, so that the cork remains moist and perfectly seals the content.
