What kind of wine is Langhe Arneis DOC “Montebertotto” 2024 - Castello di Neive?

The Langhe Arneis DOC “Montebertotto” 2024 - Castello di Neive originates in the heart of the Langhe, in Piedmont, from one of the region's most representative white grape varieties: Arneis. This indigenous grape, rediscovered and enhanced thanks to the research and clonal selection work carried out by Castello di Neive in collaboration with the University of Turin, produces a wine with a straightforward and modern character. Fresh, pleasantly aromatic, and with a distinct minerality, it fully expresses the elegance of the Langhe territory and the typicality of the Arneis variety.

Vintage details

The 2024 vintage was characterized by balanced climatic conditions: a mild winter, a regular spring, and a warm but never excessive summer allowed the grapes to ripen slowly and uniformly. This resulted in an Arneis of great harmony, where aromaticity, acidity, and structure intertwine in perfect balance.

Winemaking and aging

The grapes are harvested selectively, to ensure only the healthiest and ripest bunches. After a soft pressing, the must ferments in stainless steel at controlled temperatures, a technique that fully preserves the primary aromas of the grape. No wood aging: the goal is to obtain a pure, immediate, and crystalline wine, where the freshness and fragrance of the fruit remain protagonists. After fermentation, the wine ages for a few months in steel before bottling.
