What kind of wine is Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Extra Brut DOCG 'Sei Uno' 2021 - Bellenda
The Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Extra Brut DOCG "Sei Uno" 2021 - Bellenda is an elegant sparkling wine born in the heart of the denomination between Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, one of the most prestigious areas for the production of Prosecco Superiore. Unlike most Proseccos, this wine is made using the Metodo Classico – the same method used for Champagne and Franciacorta – which involves a second fermentation in the bottle. The result is a Prosecco with a refined, mineral, and complex profile, capable of combining tradition and innovation, and perfectly representing the unmistakable style of the Bellenda winery.Vintage Details
The 2021 vintage in Conegliano Valdobbiadene was characterized by balanced climatic conditions, with a cool spring and a moderately warm summer that favored a gradual and complete maturation of the Glera grapes. The harvest conditions allowed for the collection of healthy and aromatically concentrated bunches, ideal for creating a sparkling wine of great gustatory cleanliness and vivacity.Winemaking and Aging
For the Sei Uno 2021, Bellenda adopts the Metodo Classico, which involves refermentation in the bottle and a long rest on the lees. After the first fermentation in steel tanks at controlled temperatures to preserve varietal aromas, the wine is bottled for the second fermentation. This is followed by aging on the lees for over 12 months, during which the wine acquires aromatic complexity and a fine, persistent perlage. After disgorgement (the phase in which sediments are removed), the Prosecco rests for an additional period in the cellar before being released for sale, achieving balance and harmony.Tasting Notes
