What wine is Vermentino di Gallura DOCG 'Kintari' Magnum 2024 - Sa Raja
The Vermentino di Gallura DOCG 'Kintari' Magnum 2024 - Sa Raja is an authentic expression of the Gallura region, in northern Sardinia, the only one in Italy to boast the Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita dedicated to Vermentino. The grapes come from vineyards cultivated on granite-based soils, poor and mineral-rich, ideal for obtaining wines with a strong personality. This white wine stands out for its fresh, aromatic, and mineral style, combining elegance with pleasant drinkability: a wine that tells the story of the sea and wind of Gallura, while maintaining a balanced and persistent structure.Vintage Details
The 2024 vintage in Gallura was characterized by a balanced climate, with a mild winter and abundant water reserves accumulated thanks to spring rains. The summer, dry but not excessively hot, favored a gradual maturation of the grapes, preserving intense varietal aromas and excellent natural acidity. The result is a balanced, lively, and very refined Vermentino.Vinification and Aging
After selective manual harvesting, the grapes for Vermentino di Gallura DOCG 'Kintari' are gently pressed to extract only the free-run must, the purest part. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures, a choice that allows the aromas and freshness to be preserved intact. The wine then ages for several months on its lees, a technique that contributes to giving it greater complexity and structure, while preserving its marine and mineral soul.Tasting Notes
