What kind of wine is Trento Brut Rosé DOC 'Abate Nero' - Abate Nero?
Trento Brut Rosé DOC 'Abate Nero' - Abate Nero is a Classic Method sparkling wine, meaning it undergoes a second fermentation in the bottle, the same system used for French Champagnes. It originates in the heart of Trentino, an area renowned for quality sparkling wine thanks to its cool climate and significant temperature fluctuations, which encourage intense aromas and great finesse. This is a brilliant rosé, with an elegant and modern profile, perfect for those who desire a refined yet accessible wine, capable of combining freshness, structure, and enjoyable drinkability.Vintage details
The Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes come from well-exposed hillside vineyards, hand-harvested in the first weeks of September. The vintage is characterized by balanced climatic conditions, with sunny days and cool nights that allowed for ripe fruit still rich in acidity, key for an excellent sparkling wine base.Vinification and aging
After gentle pressing, the must from both varieties ferments in steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The Chardonnay is vinified as a white wine, while the Pinot Noir is processed to impart a slight rosé hue and a hint of tannic structure. Refermentation occurs in the bottle according to the Classic Method, and the wine remains in contact with selected yeasts for at least 18 months. This aging process gives the wine complexity, creaminess on the palate, and a fine and persistent perlage.Tasting notes
