What kind of wine is Toscana Rosato IGT 'Aurea Gran Rosé' 2022 - Tenuta Ammiraglia, Frescobaldi?
The Toscana Rosato IGT 'Aurea Gran Rosé' 2022 - Tenuta Ammiraglia, Frescobaldi represents a refined expression of Tuscan Rosé, capable of combining the delicacy of a white wine with the structure and complexity of a red. It is produced at Tenuta Ammiraglia, in the heart of Maremma, where the sea and light enhance every nuance of the Vermentino and Syrah grapes. It is a wine that speaks of elegance, freshness, and natural harmony, perfect for those seeking a rosé with personality and modernity.Vintage details
The 2022 vintage was marked by a hot and dry climate, typical of Maremma summers, with a balanced spring that allowed for even ripening of the grapes. Yields were moderate but of very high quality, with concentrated fruits exhibiting an excellent balance between sugars and acidity. A vintage that favored the production of an intense, aromatic, and perfectly balanced Rosé.Winemaking and aging
To achieve the elegance and pale color of Aurea Gran Rosé, the grapes are gently pressed whole, using a method called “soft pressing.” This is followed by static decantation for at least 12 hours, during which the must naturally clarifies. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature (16°C) in French oak tonneaux, 20% new. Subsequently, the wine ages for 8 months on its fine lees — the natural solid particles of the wine — which increase its volume and aromatic complexity. The result is a rosé with an original and refined profile, true to Frescobaldi's savoir-faire.Tasting notes
