What kind of wine is Spumante Brut Metodo Classico Rosè 'Edition III' Magnum - DUBL (cased)

The Spumante Brut Metodo Classico Rosè 'Edition III' Magnum - DUBL (cased) is a refined expression of Campania's sparkling wine artistry. Born from the experience and vision of Cantine Feudi di San Gregorio, it is part of the DUBL line, a project dedicated to regional sparkling wines. Produced with the elegant Metodo Classico – the same method used for Champagne and Franciacorta – this Rosè is made from selected grapes grown in the hills of Irpinia, where altitude and a cool microclimate yield wines of great finesse and liveliness. The result is a contemporary and territorial label, capable of combining delicate aromas, freshness, and structure.

Vintage Details

The Edition III represents the third interpretation of this pink Metodo Classico. The harvest, carried out by hand in crates, benefited from a balanced season, with sunny days and cool nights that favored a slow and complete ripening of the grapes. These conditions allowed for healthy, aromatic fruit with an excellent balance between acidity and sugars, an ideal base for an elegant and persistent sparkling wine.

Winemaking and Aging

The production of Spumante Brut Metodo Classico Rosè 'Edition III' Magnum - DUBL (cased) follows the Metodo Classico, distinguished by secondary fermentation in the bottle. After fermentation in steel tanks, the rosé base wine is bottled with the addition of selected yeasts for the second fermentation. Aging on the lees lasts for about 36 months, imparting aromatic complexity, finesse, and creamy bubbles. At the end, disgorgement and a calibrated Brut dosage maintain the perfect balance between freshness and softness.

Tasting Notes

A Metodo Classico Rosé that captivates at first glance and accompanies every sip with elegance and harmony.

Color

Visually, it presents a delicate powder pink with coppery reflections and a fine, persistent perlage, a distinctive sign of a long stay on the lees.

Nose

The nose reveals delicate aromas of red fruits – such as wild strawberries and raspberries – accompanied by nuances of citrus, bread crust, and almond. A fresh and inviting bouquet that speaks of the typicality of Campania's Metodo Classico.

Taste

On the palate, it stands out for its freshness and pronounced acidity, balanced by a soft creaminess. The sip is clean, lively, and of excellent persistence, with a finish that echoes the citrus and fruity notes perceived on the nose.

Food Pairings for Spumante Brut Metodo Classico Rosè 'Edition III' Magnum - DUBL (cased)

This rosé sparkling wine is ideal as a classy aperitif, but it also pairs perfectly throughout the meal. It goes well with:
  • Seafood appetizers and raw fish
  • Light first courses with shellfish

  • Fresh or semi-aged cheeses
Thanks to its lively freshness and aromatic balance, it is also an excellent wine to share during festivities or to accompany creative cuisine.

Storage and Aging: How to store Spumante Brut Metodo Classico Rosè 'Edition III' Magnum - DUBL (cased)

The Spumante Brut Metodo Classico Rosè 'Edition III' Magnum - DUBL (cased) should be stored in a cool, dry place away from direct light, preferably horizontally to maintain contact between the cork and the wine. Although it is a well-structured Metodo Classico, it expresses its fragrance and liveliness best within the first two or three years after bottling. Consuming it young, within this period, allows one to fully appreciate its energy and delicate aromaticity.
