What kind of wine is Soave Classico DOC “Staforte” 2023 - Prà (screw cap)
The Soave Classico DOC “Staforte” 2023 - Prà (screw cap) is an elegant and modern white wine, born from the hillside vineyards of Monteforte d’Alpone, in the heart of Soave Classico, in the province of Verona. It is made from 100% Garganega grapes, the emblematic grape variety of this denomination. Graziano Prà, a careful and innovative producer, selects only the best bunches to create a wine that precisely expresses the mineral character and typical freshness of the volcanic soils from which it originates. The style of Staforte is contemporary, direct, fresh and savory, with a refined personality and a pleasant aromatic component.Details of the vintage
2023 was a balanced year for the Soave area: spring rains ensured adequate water reserves, while the summer, dry but not excessively hot, favored a gradual and complete ripening of the grapes. Temperature fluctuations between day and night intensified the varietal aromas of Garganega, resulting in a dynamic and aromatically clear wine.Winemaking and aging
After a soft pressing of the grapes, fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel to preserve aroma and freshness. The wine then continues its aging always in steel, where it is periodically subjected to batonnage (a technique that consists of stirring the spent yeasts, called fine lees, to enrich structure and aromatic complexity). This process gives Staforte a creamy structure and a pleasant roundness, balanced by a subtle mineral vein.Tasting notes
Color
In the glass, the Soave Classico “Staforte” 2023 presents a bright straw yellow color, with greenish reflections that emphasize its freshness and youth.Nose
On the nose it offers delicate but persistent aromas of white fruit (pear, apple and peach), citrus notes and hints of wildflowers. In the background, elegant mineral nuances and light almond sensations emerge, typical of Garganega from the classic territory.Taste
On the palate it is fresh, savory and dynamic. The acidity is well balanced, giving the sip vivacity and precision, while the volcanic minerality gives depth and a pleasantly almondy finish. It is a white wine that captivates with its balance and clean taste. What dishes to pair with Soave Classico DOC “Staforte” 2023 - Prà (screw cap)

- Pasta with clams or seafood

- Fresh or medium-aged cheeses
- Delicate white meats such as chicken or rabbit
Storage and aging: how to store Soave Classico DOC “Staforte” 2023 - Prà (screw cap)
The Soave Classico DOC “Staforte” 2023 - Prà (screw cap) should be stored in a cool, dark place, with a constant temperature of around 12-15°C and the bottle in a horizontal position to keep the cork moist. Despite being a wine with good structure, it best expresses its freshness and aromatic vitality within 2-3 years of the harvest. A slight bottle aging can enhance the mineral nuances and complexity, but its nature is that of a white wine to be enjoyed young, when fruit and savoriness are at their best.Pra
