What kind of wine is Roero Arneis DOCG 2024 - Marchesi di Barolo?
The Roero Arneis DOCG 2024 - Marchesi di Barolo is an elegant and immediate Piedmontese white wine, produced from Arneis grapes grown on the Roero hills, on the left bank of the Tanaro river, in the province of Cuneo. This area, famous for its sandy and calcareous soils, gives the wines a distinct aromatic finesse and a pleasant mineral note. The result is a white wine with a fresh and harmonious character, ideal for those who love fragrant, balanced, and easy-drinking wines.Vintage details
The year 2024 in Piedmont was characterized by balanced climatic conditions. A rather mild winter favored an early awakening of the vines, followed by a regular spring with good temperature excursions between day and night. The summer, warm but not scorching, allowed for a slow and uniform ripening of the Arneis grapes, enhancing the aromatic component and maintaining excellent natural acidity.Winemaking and aging
The Arneis grapes are harvested by hand and vinified in white, meaning without contact with the skins, to preserve their freshness and aromas. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of around 20 °C in stainless steel tanks, a material that helps maintain the varietal characteristics of the grape. Subsequently, the wine ages for several months, still in steel, before bottling, to consolidate its structure and offer a sensation of balance and purity on the palate.Tasting notes
