What wine is Oltrepò Pavese DOCG Metodo Classico Nero d’Oro - Bertè Cordini?
The Oltrepò Pavese DOCG Metodo Classico Nero d’Oro - Bertè Cordini is a sparkling wine of great elegance obtained from 100% Pinot Noir, a grape variety that finds one of its most authentic expressions in the Oltrepò Pavese region. Produced using the Metodo Classico – the same method used for great Champagnes – it is a sparkling wine that originates from the calcareous hills of this Lombard area, where microclimate and altitude favor optimal grape ripening. The result is a wine with a refined, persistent, and remarkably balanced profile, perfect for those seeking a sparkling wine with character and a contemporary style.Vintage Details
The harvest takes place manually, generally in the first days of September, when the Pinot Noir grapes reach full aromatic maturity but retain a distinct freshness. The vintage is characterized by a balanced summer, with good temperature fluctuations that contributed to enhancing the aromatic profile and gustatory finesse of the wine.Winemaking and Aging
After a soft pressing of the grapes, only the free-run must – the purest and most delicate part – is sent for fermentation. The base wine is then bottled for the second fermentation in the bottle, according to the Metodo Classico, with an aging period on the lees of about 18 months. This resting period favors the development of more complex aromas and a perfectly integrated effervescence, with a fine and creamy texture.Tasting Notes
