What wine is Greco di Tufo DOCG 'Chianchetelle' 2021 - Feudi Studi, Feudi di San Gregorio
The Greco di Tufo DOCG 'Chianchetelle' 2021 - Feudi Studi, Feudi di San Gregorio is a white wine from Campania with great character, produced by one of the most representative wineries of Irpinia. It originates from an ancient indigenous grape variety, Greco, which is rooted in the rich tufa and clay soils of the municipality of Chianche, in the heart of the Greco di Tufo DOCG appellation. Here, the volcanic soil, altitude, and ventilated exposure give the wine a distinct freshness, a clear mineral texture, and a fine aromaticity. A modern and clear style, combining elegance and territorial authenticity.Vintage details
The 2021 vintage in Irpinia was characterized by balanced climatic conditions, with mild springs and a warm but not excessive summer. The temperature excursions between day and night favored perfect grape ripening, preserving acidity and aromas. The result is a linear and vibrant wine, with a clean and precise profile.Winemaking and aging
The Greco grapes are hand-picked, selecting only the best bunches from approximately two hectares of south-east facing vineyard. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel at controlled temperatures to maintain the intact fruity and floral notes of the grape variety. The wine then remains on its lees for several months, a practice called "affinamento sur lie" (aging on lees), which gives it body and complexity without using wood. It does not go into barriques, to fully preserve the purity and freshness of Greco di Tufo.Tasting notes

To best preserve it, keep it in a cool, dark place with a constant temperature, ideally between 10 and 14 °C, in a horizontal position if the bottle has a cork stopper. Although it has a good structure, it expresses its qualities best within 2-3 years of the harvest. Over time, it can evolve, developing softer and honeyed nuances, but its true strength lies in its youth: the minerality and gustatory tension typical of Greco di Tufo.Feudi di San Gregorio
