What kind of wine is Etna Bianco DOC 2024 - Monteleone
The Etna Bianco DOC 2024 - Monteleone is born on the eastern slope of Etna, at an altitude of about 700 meters, where the vines breathe sea air and root in sandy, mineral-rich volcanic soils. It is a fresh and mineral white wine, with great character and personality, an authentic expression of Etnean viticulture. The grapes, predominantly Carricante with small percentages of Catarratto, give life to a wine that combines elegance and vivacity, perfect for those who wish to discover the most refined and contemporary side of Sicilian winemaking.Vintage details
The 2024 vintage on Etna was characterized by a regular climate and not excessively hot summers. The temperature excursions between day and night favored a slow and complete ripening of the grapes, ensuring an ideal balance between sugars and acidity. The result is a wine with a fresh, vibrant profile and a clear aromatic texture.Vinification and aging
The grapes are harvested manually in the first weeks of September and gently pressed to preserve all the fragrance of the fruit. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel at controlled temperatures to maintain the primary aromas intact. This is followed by an aging period of about 6 months in steel, during which the wine slowly matures on its fine lees (yeast deposited after fermentation), acquiring greater structure and complexity without losing freshness. No wood aging is used to preserve the expressive purity of the grape variety and the territory.Tasting notes
