What wine is Crémant d’Alsace Brut AOC 'Célébration' 2023 - Domaine Amélie & Charles Sparr
The Crémant d’Alsace Brut AOC 'Célébration' 2023 - Domaine Amélie & Charles Sparr is a traditional method sparkling wine, made in the heart of Alsace, one of France's most renowned wine regions for producing elegant and aromatic wines. It is made from 100% Pinot Blanc grapes, sourced from carefully selected vineyards in the region's most prestigious villages. It is a brut sparkling wine, meaning it is dry and fresh on the palate, perfect for accompanying festive occasions or informal toasts. Its style is that of a modern Crémant d'Alsace: fragrant, delicate, and irresistibly pleasant.Vintage details
The 2023 vintage in Alsace was characterized by a balanced climate, with sunny days and cool nights that allowed the grapes to ripen slowly. This fostered an excellent balance between acidity and sugars, resulting in a bright, fragrant, and harmonious wine. The harvest was carried out manually in early autumn, to preserve the natural integrity of the berries.Winemaking and aging
Crémant d’Alsace 'Célébration' is produced using the traditional method (the same as Champagne), which involves a second fermentation in the bottle. After the first fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the base wine is bottled and enriched with yeasts to develop the prise de mousse. This is followed by aging on the lees for approximately 12 months, a period that gives the wine finesse and complexity, without weighing down its natural freshness.Tasting notes
