What kind of wine is Costa d'Amalfi Bianco 'Furore' DOC 2024 - Marisa Cuomo?
The Costa d'Amalfi Bianco 'Furore' DOC 2024 - Marisa Cuomo is a white wine born from the heart of the Amalfi Coast, in a spectacular territory where terraced vineyards overlook the sea. It is a typical Campania blend, mainly composed of Falanghina and Biancolella, two indigenous grape varieties that best express the freshness and minerality of this area. The result is a wine with a fresh, fragrant, and deeply Mediterranean profile: a white wine that captivates with its saline elegance and pleasant marine savoriness, distinctive characteristics of Marisa Cuomo's wines.Vintage details
The 2024 vintage was characterized by a balanced climate, with a mild spring and a breezy summer. Moderate temperatures and the thermal excursion between day and night favored a slow and complete ripening of the grapes, yielding a wine with an intense aromatic profile, with an excellent balance between acidity and softness.Vinification and aging
The Costa d'Amalfi Bianco 'Furore' DOC 2024 is obtained exclusively from mosto fiore (free-run juice), which is the purest and most delicate part of the grape juice, fermenting in steel tanks at controlled temperatures for about 20-30 days. Subsequently, the wine ages for six months in steel on its lees, a technique called "affinamento sur lie" (aging on lees), which serves to enrich the wine's structure and preserve its varietal fragrance. There is no wood aging, in order to maintain its freshness and mineral imprint unchanged.Tasting notes
