What kind of wine is Champagne Brut Réserve - Palmer & Co?

Champagne Brut Réserve - Palmer & Co represents the essence of the style of the prestigious Maison Palmer & Co, one of the most renowned wineries in the Reims region, right in the heart of Champagne. It is an AOC Champagne made from a rich and complex cuvée, born from the blending of grapes from over 40 different crus. This balance of terroirs ensures aromatic breadth and extraordinary gustatory finesse. The production follows the méthode champenoise, which is the traditional method involving a second fermentation in the bottle, responsible for the formation of the characteristic bubbles and the olfactory complexity typical of this great wine.

Vintage details

Champagne Brut Réserve - Palmer & Co is produced annually with a base of wines from the latest harvest, to which a proportion of reserve wines (up to 5 years old) is added. This contribution ensures greater depth and consistency of style, regardless of annual climatic conditions. The grapes come from vineyards characterized by the typical chalky soils of Champagne, which promote natural freshness and minerality in the wine.

Vinification and aging

The cuvée is produced using the classic method, with secondary fermentation in the bottle and long aging on the lees: at least 4 years of refinement before disgorgement. This resting period allows the development of elegant notes of bread crust and pastry that harmonize with the fresh aromas of fruit and flowers. After disgorgement, the wine rests for at least another 6 months in the cellar to achieve maximum aromatic integration. The dosage – that is, the small addition of “liqueur d’expédition” – is calibrated at 9 g/l, making this Champagne a balanced and versatile Brut.

Tasting notes

The bouquet is broad and harmonious, with aromas of white flowers, apple, and ripe pear, followed by nuances of honey, dried fruit, and delicate hints of brioche. The aromatic expression reflects the balance between freshness and maturity achieved during the long aging on the lees.
