What kind of wine is Barbera d'Asti Superiore DOCG 2021 - Bricco dei Guazzi?
The Barbera d'Asti Superiore DOCG 2021 - Bricco dei Guazzi is born in the heart of Monferrato, one of the most renowned Piedmontese areas for Barbera production. Made from 100% selected Barbera grapes, it represents a modern interpretation that remains true to the roots of this varietal. It is a red wine with great personality, full-bodied yet harmonious, capable of combining intensity and drinkability.Vintage Details
2021 was a balanced vintage, characterized by a stable climate and ideal temperature variations for grape ripening. The harvest, carried out by hand towards the end of September, allowed for the selection of the best grapes, healthy and with an excellent balance between sugars and natural acidity. This balance is reflected in the glass with a fresh aromatic profile and a well-defined structure.Winemaking and Aging
After harvesting, the grapes are vinified with traditional fermentation and extended maceration on the skins, useful for gently extracting color and tannins. The wine is then aged for approximately 12 months in large oak barrels, where it develops complexity, roundness, and finesse. A further period of rest in the bottle completes the process, providing a perfect balance between freshness and structure.Tasting Notes
